·         My First Game: October 2001 when Iowa lost to Michigan at home 32-26. Iowa was decent this year and Michigan was in the top 10. I went with my grandpa and we had a great time despite the emotional loss.

·         My Most Memorable GameBy far the 2003 Orange Bowl when Iowa lost to USC. They got killed actually, 38-17. The highlight, however, was the opening kickoff when C.J. Jones returned it 100 yards for a touchdown. I was actually crying because we were so high up and my dad lifted me up on his shoulders so I could see, but I thought I was going to fall over the edge (we were on the top balcony).

·         About MeAs you can tell, I’ve grown up a huge Iowa fan. A lot of my family has graduated with degrees from Iowa and they definitely bleed black and gold. Deep down, despite offers to play sports elsewhere, I always knew I would attend the university. My grandparents lived in Iowa City and my father would shoot video at their home games, so this led to many opportunities for me to attend games at Kinnick Stadium. Going to these games with my grandpa made me fall more in love with the team and the city. I’ve endured many years of heartache, as Iowa knows how to disappoint even its most loyal fans. Last year was amazing, going 12-0 in the regular season and being so close to the playoff. It’s unfortunate how the bowl game played out, but I would take that season again any time.
