- Tell us more about your most memorable game, or your favorite player or team, or venue, and why?
My most memorable game is the Texas Tech vs. TCU game in 2012 because I traveled to the game as a member ofthe TTU Goin' Band and we were big underdogs that game, but still came out on top after 3 overtimes. That was also the peak of our football season and was a great time.
- If you could go to any sporting event in history, what would it be and why?
If I could go to any sporting event, I would go to the 2011 NBA finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat. As a long-time Mavs fan, it would have been awesome to see their first championship title in person and celebrate it with all of the fans.
- What kind of fan are you?
I consider myself to be a dedicated fan, going to away games and bowl games no matter how far away they are. An example of this is when my buddies and I drove 24 hours from Lubbock to San Diego to go to the Holiday bowl where Texas Tech played Arizona State and won. It was an awesome experience.
- Tell us more about your favorite player or team? How long have you been a fan, and why do you admire them so much?
My favorite player would have to be Dirk Nowitzki and I’ve been a fan of him ever since he came to the mavericks. I admire what he does because he decided to stay in Dallas for his NBA career and he led the team to a championship. He also makes sacrifices with his contract so that the team can keep building.
- Who is the athlete that you admire the most and why?
The athlete I admire most would have to be Michael Phelps because of what he has done for the U.S Olympic team. His ability to win gold medals at 3 separate Olympics while maintaining such a high level of talent shows his dedication to the sport and the U.S Olympic team.
